Printing fun!

This is the is the most fun app for printing that we use. Love picking what to write with - think the pink frosting is my fav :) The best part is the ability to add your own spelling words - perfect for a childs name and overall great for kinetic learners!

We love this!

My grandson played this for hours. His favorite is writing with the pink frosting with its squishy sound effect. We also made a new word list with the names of our family. What a great idea!

*love*

Touch and Write has moved to the top of my list for learning to write. Its extremely fun for my 4 year-old with classic autism and the easiest app for me to customize! I have been telling everyone about it! We have added a list called "family" where he can practice his name as well as his siblings and of course, Mommy and Daddy. Brilliant!

Crash iPad

It crashed my iPad 3. It just happened the day it was installed. Then, now it works well. Concept is good. My son likes it. Should add popping balloons for tracing, add more time to pop and eat the cakes.allow voice to be recorded for new words.

Good but want more..

Im an OT and can see using this app with the kids. Some things I would like to see: 1) be able to choose which letters and numbers to work on - instead of having to work on them sequentially, 2)be able to record words for custom word lists

Cool app

I was able to get my son to practice number writing when he saw all the food. This was a really fun idea. I like that you are stopped if you try and trace the letters or numbers the wrong way. In the next update could you add an option to repeat a letter or number before moving on to the next one?

great fun!

love that it isnt your "typical" copy and write! the kids love the monsters!!!

more time

I am an OT and would like to see the letters stay longer in the middle before they move up. I use the background that has the writing lines and would like it if the child could see if they touched the lines or went over the lines when they finished the letter. Right now as soon as the letter is finished to moves to the top.

Brilliant!

This app is cute and fun and I love the fact that you can add your own word lists. Both of my boys, 10 and 4, with ASD, are having so much fun practicing their writing. I think the shaving cream is their favorite.

Awesome

I love this app and the creative way in which it teaches letter formation. I love the variety of "writing" materials that can be used. I also love how you can practice letters in lowercase, uppercase, and in words. I also appreciate how if you make an error in formation that the program makes you try that part of the letter again.

So cute and colorful!

This is so cute! Using food to write is such a great idea and it is so appealing for my kids! They also love choosing the paper and the music, and they are crazy about the animal papers. We love the monster eating his cupcakes! New repeat button is really useful so my kids can repeat letters and words.

Very engaging

I am an OT working in a school district. This is one of my "go to" apps for practicing letter formation and the kids love it. Thanks for the updates! Makes a great app even better!

Great app

My daughter is loving this app. She is six and has autism. She is working on handwriting in OT, and I think this is a great supplement.

Really wonderful for beginner writers

My three year old loves this app. It has improved his accuracy in letter formation. We love that you can also add your own words so you can teach them to write their own names and other words that interest them in order to get them practicing their letters. The music is well chosen and not annoying. The idea of writing with food is so great--its not crucial to the writing, but it just makes it so much more fun for the child. My sons favorite is to write on Cheerios background using ketchup :-). I would recommend this to all pre-K and K kids. Once my son is more proficient with the letters we will encourage him to practice with a stylus so that it becomes more like writing with a pen (of course we will also have him write on proper paper with a proper pen!)

Viprofessional

This is one of my go to apps for practicing handwriting for my students who are visually impaired. They love this app! Being able to choose the color scheme that they can see best is great for my students!

Love this app!!

This app is wonderful. It reinforces and generalizes the skills my child with autism is learning at school. I love that you can make your own custom list to practice writing. The only thing that could make this better is we had the ability to make the letters smaller as the child became accomplished at this size. The idea is to be able to get the letters eventually to normal writing size.

Handwriting app

I have both this app and their cursive. As a school OT I love this app. My students spend the time practicing their handwriting. My students love the monsters, cupcakes and the balloons. I can use pencil grips on a stylus pen or their finger. Practicing makes perfect. I recommend this app for students who need extra help in forming their letters.

Really good, but needs one thing

Please add the letter sounds. Really love this app.

Fun options

Love everything about this except that it doesnt give you a page with all the letters presented to choose one from, you have to go through the ABC sequence or else make your own letter list, which takes extra time. Also wish the monster cues were always in the same color for consistency.

Great for formation - lacks sounds

I agree that this app is great. But I also wish it included phonetic sounds. My struggling kindergarteners use this to practice writing but hearing "a /a/" would be even more helpful. I also wish there was a setting option to have the cupcake monster show up less frequently - like at the end of the alphabet instead of after every letter - to maximize learning time. Thank you!
